You are considered eligible to earn the certification if you meet specific requirements and have passed the CIA examination. The following criteria should be met:
- Meet the education requirements
- Pass the three-part exam
- Submit a Character Reference Form signed by a CIA, CGAP, CCSA, CFSA, CRMA, or the candidate’s supervisor
- Meet the experience requirements
- Abide by the Code of Ethics established by The IIA
