What’s Involved

    Exam format and timing:
    • Format: 160 questions (90 knowledge/40 situational judgments/30 field test items)
    • Timing: 3 - 3.5 hours in length
    Question Type:
    • Knowledge Items: Assess candidates' understanding of factual information. Correct answers will receive full credit.
    • Situational Judgment Items: Assess candidates' KSAs (knowledge, skills and abilities) and decision-making skills. Examinees are presented with realistic work-related scenarios and asked to choose the best possible strategies to resolve.
    Exam testing windows:
    You'll need to schedule your exams to fall within one of the two testing windows each year:
    • Spring Exam Window: May 1 - July 15, 2015
    • Winter Exam Window: December 1 - February 15, 2016
    Exam Location:
    You can take the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP exam in hundreds of Prometric Centers worldwide at a time and place convenient for you. Visit prometric.com/shrm
